Academic Excellence Awards
PRINCIPAL’S AWARDS
The Principal’s Awards are designed to encourage excellent academic performances. Three awards of $2,000 each is granted in May and December to the top 4U graduates with at least 85% average in the best six credits, and with at least 80% in 4U English or IELTS 6 and over.
INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION SCHOLARSHIP
The International Recognition Scholarships recognize international students’ academic and language achievements before studying at North York Academy . Five scholarships of $2,000 each will be awarded in September to first year North York Academy international students with at least overall 85% average for their last year study at any school other than North York Academy , and with IELTS 5.5 and over.
ESL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS
Three ESL Achievement Awards of $500 each are granted at the end of each semester to the top ESL students who has demonstrated language abilities and achieved a grade of 80% or above. To be eligible students must continue to study at North York Academy and to take academic English course.
University Entrance Scholarships
Three scholarships valued at $3,000 each will be awarded annually to top graduates who are entering University of Waterloo.
Four scholarships, each valued at $3,000, will be awarded annually to top graduates who are entering McGill University.
Three scholarships valued at $3,000 each will be awarded annually to top graduates who are entering University of Western
Three scholarships valued at $3,000 each will be awarded annually to top graduates who are entering University of Toronto.
