Placement Process
Step 1: Self-Assessment
Students will choose their English level based on the following descriptions:
- Beginner – Fairly new to English; may have taken one or two courses.
- Intermediate – Has a good foundation and has been practising English for a few years.
- Advanced – Has a strong understanding of English and has used it for many years.
Step 2: Enrol in the Appropriate Course
Based on their self-assessment, students will enrol in:
- Beginner = ESLBO
- Intermediate = ESLCO
- Advanced = ESLDO
Step 3: Start the Course
Once enrolled, students will begin accessing lessons and materials through our Moodle learning platform.
Step 4: Meet Your Instructor
During the first week, students will:
- Complete the online placement test (hosted on our website)
- Participate in a short one-on-one interview with the instructor
These assessments will help ensure students are placed in the course that best matches their actual English level. The school reserves the right to adjust placements as needed.
